So, fans have nothing to really worry about. Santa Monica Studio IS overseeing the port though and neither Santa Monica nor Sony would dare let a bad port out into the wild on one of its most premier brands.
Recently, fans also learned that God of War’s PC port wasn’t being developed by Santa Monica but by a specialist studio known as Jetpack Interactive. This is one reason why the decision to bring God of War to PC is such a smart move, as those who have somehow avoided it until now may very well invest in a PS5 to play God of War: Ragnarok on release. More will eventually come as Sony establishes or bring back IPs, but Kratos will likely remain.
God of War remains as one of the biggest names on the PlayStation console, boosting Kratos to mascot status alongside Spider-Man and Horizon’s Aloy.
